Welcome to our new web site!  At the moment, we've just copied across our old forum, and are starting to work on the website contents.  Please let us know any comments or suggestions you might have.

We want to be the voice of disabled children and their families in Warrington.  Our aim is to raise issues and make sure they are listened to and acted upon.  We are working to support and connect families in Warrington – both newly diagnosed and existing.

It’s important that as many families as possible get involved, attend meetings or join online.

Warrington Parents and Carers Forum is the result of parent participation in the government’s ‘Aiming High For Disabled Children’ initiative.  In the ‘Together for Disabled Children’ guide, it says:

“Effective parent participation happens when parents have conversations with and work alongside professionals, in order to design, develop and improve services.”

That’s what we’re all about! This benefits everyone. Working with parents helps professionals understand what families need to happen and to develop services that meet families’ needs.

Getting parent’s voices heard at the right time is one of our main aims as a forum.  Through our Parent Chairs and Representatives we are working to shape services for our children.
